“For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is in you as well.”  – 2 Timothy 1:5

The terms “multitasking” and “social distancing” hardly seem to go together.  However, when I think about these days we are in right now, this is exactly what many mothers are dealing with!  The kids are at home because they are not allowed to attend school because of the coronavirus situation.  Mothers have to be substitute schoolteachers, keep the kids entertained, fed, and happy while managing the home at the same time.  Some mothers also have jobs they have to perform from home because they are unable to go to their place of employment.   What a challenge right now for all mothers keeping this juggling act going with their families!   I know that many dads are doing their part too, but with Mothers Day coming up this Sunday, we want to give special recognition and honor to all mothers.  With this in mind, there is no doubt about the importance of a Christian mother’s role.  Timothy, the young man the apostle Paul mentored in ministry, was greatly influenced by “the genuine faith” of his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice (2 Timothy 1:5). God used two generations of loving mothers to influence Timothy for Christ.  As a church we want to honor mothers and the significant role they play in our lives.  This Sunday will be the most unusual Mother’s Day we have all ever had.  We won’t be able to give special recognition to mothers gathered together like we normally do.  We won’t be able to have the Parent-Child dedications we normally do.  However, we will recognize mothers in our Live Stream Service this Sunday.  I will PAUSE my Revelation Series on the Second Coming of Christ to bring a special Mother’s Day message.  As well, if you listened to my WEEKLY UPDATE this week, I shared with you that we are preparing for PHASE ONE of our RESTART.  PHASE ONE will be a SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE ONLY with the recommended “social distancing safety protocols” in place.  It is also important to note that for PHASE ONE there will be NO NUSERY OR CHILDREN’S CHURCH.  However, CHILDREN WILL BE WELCOME IN THE SERVICE WITH THEIR FAMILIES!  I am anticipating that PHASE ONE can begin soon.  As soon as we have the GREEN LIGHT I will let you know what Sunday will be the start date.  I am anticipating that PHASE ONE will open the door for us to begin step-by-step adding our activities back.  So stay tuned! It won’t be much longer I believe!  Hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.  Join us for the Live Stream Service!  As always, call me if I can help you with anything at all.
