Preschool Ministry

pictureThe purpose of our preschool is to help each child:
  • Feel comfortable, loved, and wanted.
  • Grow in his independence, to solve his own problems, and to share with others
  • Feel more secure with adults, with other children and in a variety of situations.
  • Begin to associate God with feelings of wonder, love and happiness. To learn that He is the God of creation, God loves them and that there is no other God--He is the One and Only God. God made the world and God made them.
  • Learn that Jesus loves everyone and He is the only Son of God. He is the Savior and our friend.
  • Think of the Bible as a special book, and to become familiar with, and enjoy Bible stories that are meaningful to him. God gave us this special book and it is God's written Word. The Bible is His guidebook.
  • To learn that the church is a body of believers and also a special place to learn about God.
  • Know that God planned for families where love can be found and felt.

Scheduled Events

8/10/08 - 11:00am, Children's Moment

8/20/08 - Back to School Cookout, Choir and Missions Begin

8/24/08 - 11:00am, Children's Moment

8/31/08 - 6:00pm, No Evening Service

9/1/08 - Labor Day

Sunday

9:30am -- There is a Sunday School class provided for this age group. You will be given an identification card at this time that is to be returned to the teacher for your child's release.

11:00am -- Extended Session is available for preschoolers six weeks through three years of age.

6:00pm -- Childcare is provided for preschoolers age six through age three on the preschool wing during Evening Worship

Tuesday

9:00am-1:00pm -- Mother's Day Out is provided for your convenience. This is for preschoolers age six through age 3. For more information, call Elizabeth Milstead. This service is provided for members and non-members by registration only

Sept - May

Wednesday

5:30pm -- Preschool Choir for ages four and five

6:15pm -- Mission Friends for ages four and five

7:00pm -- Your preschooler will be awaiting your return from your activity. If you are a member of Adult Choir, preschool care will be provided for you until Adult Choir is dismissed.

Summer

6:00pm -- Children's Activity
