Dr. Jon Stubblefield was called as pastor of Main Street in March 2003. He previously served as pastor of First Baptist Church, Shreveport, Louisiana and Walnut Street Baptist Church, Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, he has the privilege of teaching New Testament classes at William Carey College, thus utilizing his PhD in New Testament from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Jon met his wife Jackie through BSU at the University of Arkansas and they were married after graduation. They have two sons, Michael who teaches English and theater in Spain, and Steven, a recording engineer, who lives in Hattiesburg. Dr. Jon and Jackie enjoy travel, especially in England, and antique hunting.
David Rogers graduated from William Carey College with a B. A. degree in Religious Education. He also has a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. David has served five Southern Baptist churches in Mississippi. David came to Main Street in 1984 as Youth and College Minister. He became the Minister of Education in 1986. He presently serves as Associate Pastor with continued responsibilities in Christian Education.
Robert H. "Bob" Jones, Minister of Music Emeritus at Main Street, is presently Minister to Senior Adults. Bob is a native of Meridian, Mississippi. He is a graduate of Meridian Junior College, Mississippi College, and New Orleans Theological Seminary. He served as Minister of Music at Richland Baptist Church, Jackson; Roseland Park Baptist Church, Picayune, MS; Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, Rome, GA; and First Baptist Church, Gulfport, MS, before coming to Main Street. Bob began his work with senior adults at First Baptist Church, Gulfport, and has continued that ministry since coming to Main Street in 1970.
Joseph Robinson came to Main Street as Minister of Music, January 1, 2004, after serving 23 years in Alabama. Joseph received his education at Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Forth Worth, Texas. He is married to the former Betty Schmidt of McComb, Mississippi. They have two married children, Jennifer and Jonathan.
Eric Williamson is a native of Petal, MS. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Masters of Arts in Education.
He was called as the first Minister to Young Families at Main Street Baptist Church starting June 1, 2008. He is married to Leah and they have an adorable son named Owen Parker.
